Bloom mobile app

Overview
Driven by my own collection of 54 indoor plants, I set out to design a mobile application that addressed the gaps I found in existing mobile apps. This project was born from a desire to push beyond my professional comfort zone; while I enjoyed the stability of a great job, I felt it was vital to diversify my portfolio and refine my design skills through a high-stakes, personal passion project. By tackling the complexities of high-volume plant care app, I challenged myself to create a tool that felt both professional and highly specialized.

The idea
The primary focus was to enhance the user experience (UX) and visual clarity of the market-leading app, Planta. While I recognized Planta as the strongest competitor at the time, I believed there was significant room for improvement in how data is presented and how users interact with their schedules. My goal was to retain the functional logic that made the original app successful while integrating new features and streamlined navigation to provide a more intuitive, "clutter-free" experience for serious plant enthusiasts.
